From 1999-2003 I worked at London, UK law firms practicing Immigration Law, Family Law, and other types of Civil Law. In 2002, I completed my training contract and qualified to practise law in England & Wales. During this time, I represented clients in immigration courts and tribunals as well as in magistrates’ and high courts for family and civil matters.
My legal education began with a Postgraduate Diploma in Law (CPE/PGDL) from Kingston University, followed by the Legal Practice Course at the University of Law in London. Prior to this, I earned a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Colorado, Boulder, in 1992.
I passed the California Bar in 2020, following years of experience as a caseworker in San Jose and San Francisco, and became licensed to practice law in California in September 2021. I am fluent in English and Spanish, both spoken and written—a skill that has proven invaluable when assisting immigrants from Mexico, Central, and South America with their immigration cases in the U.S.

Years of Experience
Having experience with various types of law across the UK and in California means that I can assist in interpreting the law, especially with regard to immigration rules and regulations and case law.
Fluency in Spanish
I speak, understand, read and write in Spanish. I will understand many who speak Spanish from Mexico, Cuba, El Salvador, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Venezuela and Columbia, to name a few.
Being Admitted to the California Bar
The California Bar is one of the toughest in the nation. Having passed this hurdle, I am now licensed to practice immigration law in the U.S. as well as the U.K.
